Cliche Winter

So its been getting colder this last week and this weekend was rather chilly in the house, but alas. Having lived in the tropics for the past 4 years the cold caught me off guard and without any long sleeve tops. Major Fail!

Luckily I found this cute little number in Jay Jays for a mear $10.00. SCORE!!

The fabric is still fairly thin, so I wouldn't take it interstate during winter but for our little cold snap it will do just nicely.

Iron Fist Zombie!

Hehehe, I love the werewof design but this zombie bikini really took my fancy.
Zombie Chomper, which you can get in the heels and wallet, shows the zombie eyes on the top and the zombie's rotting teeth on the bottoms.
The sides of the bottoms have black rings holding the pieces together.
This is such a fun piece, though I wish Iron Fist offered the bikini in the werewolf design, the zombie is good too.

LipService Rocks My World!

Lipservice clothes certainly do rock my world, I can't get enough of them even if they are not always practicle.

These however are my wardrobe MUST HAVE and I have a few.

They are from the Gangsta Pranksta range called Spaghetti Sally Shorts.

Though I removed the straps from mine, I still highly reccommend these.
They are comfy and practicle in the heat of the day and go with pretty much everything I have in my wardrobe.

I wear mine every day in summer and have yet to wear them out.

I have several of the black ones and one of the grey and white.
The grey and white is a larger fit than the plain black ones, but not too big to be a problem.

I hope to add more of these to my wardrobe before next summer, just to make sure I never run out!

eBay Addict!

Ok while we are on the subject of Bolero's, here is another one of my favs from eBay.

Military style with large buttons and a blueish-silver phoenix embrodered on the back.

This bolero is a little warmer than many of my other ones and is long sleeve.

Made of good quality fabric and stitching this is definatley one of the best I've got.

Though not really the type you would wear to a wedding or anything like that, this is a fun piece to wear when heading out for a few at the bar.

Etsy!

This is just one cute bolero that you can find on etsy.
The place is crawling with them, in every colour, pattern and fabric.
I love the Tim Burton feel of this one, and the cute lace edgings.
I am a bolero addict! They can dress up just about any outfit, or create a professional look or make an outfit fun...... oh yeah and they do provide some warmth when the weather turns a little cool too.
Though the seller of this item is no longer registered on etsy just search boleros to find a massive range of different boleros for every occasion.

eBay Addict!

Ok so its a second hand piece, but I think its great!
I found this black lace jacket randomly on ebay, in an auction starting at AU$15. In the end it cost me about AU$32 with postage and I think it was a bargain!
Its fairly heavy but being made of lace still offers the "airiness" needed for here at the tropics.
I would probably pair it with a black singlet and jeans or black pants.
Much love for this piece!

Etsy!

So I am definatley falling in love with reconstructed tops.

Here are two that I got from etsy.

The first is a glow in the dark ribcage top from RockCherryBomb.
Its beautifully fitted and has slightly puffy sleeves. It can hang loosly on your shoulders or as a t-shirt.

Far cuter that the original cut of the t-shirt. Cost me $34.00

Next I got a figure hugging batman t-shirt, reconstructed to fit nicer than the original cut. Far sexier and fitting for women from MadFoxes. And only $20.00 with free post. She has heaps of other reconstructed tees so check it out.

For those of you who do not know, etsy is like eBay but with handmade items. It is then the perfect place to pick up one of a kind items
It therefore becomes a must visit site for those who are looking for one-off hand made creations yet lack the abilities to create these items themselves.
I found this cute shirt on etsy, in store called idea2lifestyle. It cost me nearly $50 with postage but is unique enough that i simply had to have it.
This shirt isn't a one-off you can go visit the store and get one too, but no one else has one in Cairns, so thats good enough for me.
It fits like a dream and looks really funky for work or play.

Ok eBay is a girls best friend, gothy or not!
I picked up these cute tops for under $60 with free postage.
I love them, the one on the right is perfect for work, and the one on the left is gorgeously fitted so would be perfect with a pair of jeans.
I love them!
Both were bought from Little Angel Secret in Hong Kong.
Though the one on the left required restitching of pretty much all the buttons (which you'll notice is a LOT) the one on the right has survived many days at work. Though with my frame I find it important to wear a black singlet underneath.
